I am Lies Deneys. I originate from the region Pajottenland in Belgium. I came to live in South Africa 20 years ago.
Since I can remember I have been fascinated by food and especially baking. After a couple of years being away from home, I longed so much for the tarts I grew up with that I started to produce them myself. First for my family and the fun of it and years later it's still for fun but I get to share these divine tarts with people who love them as much as my family and I.
Tarts and cakes shouldn't be made with just sugar. They should also be made with authenticity, originality and tradition which is exaxclty what I aim to achieve with my baking.
